Princess Tinyfeet

Georgie had her first "injury incident" at daycare yesterday - she tripped and hit her head on the table, resulting in a nice purple egg on her forehead. When I called to find out what happened, the teacher said, "You know how Georgie is really clumsy?" Bless her heart, she IS. She falls all the time. Trips over everything. My latest conclusion is that her feet are too small for her body. Poor kid wears a size 6-9 month shoe. And she's 13 months. Oh lord. Grow, feet! Grow!

I simply cannot.

I post to the CEO's social media, and I cannot tell you how convinced I am that one of these days I am going to accidentally post a photo of my baby (or god forbid a selfie) to his account instead of mine! Too much pressure people.

It's WATCH what happens live, not listen!

Like many others, I am intrigued by Andy Cohen's baby shower this past weekend, where almost all the Real Housewives were in attendance (#goals, amiright?!). I heard him say on Sirius XM that there will be a two-hour radio special on Friday, with live interviews and info about the event. But I'm sorry - who has TWO HOURS to sit in the car or in front of the computer to listen to this? Why it can't be a Watch What Happens Live special on TV, I will never understand. (I mean - do I have two hours to waste watching the Bachelor? YES, YES I DO)

Molly, you in danger girl

I watched Ghost yesterday for the first time in like 25 years.The special effects and technology haven't aged very well, but it's still quite entertaining.

Ding dongs to the doorstep? Yes please!

Not sure where I've been (clearly buried in the sand somewhere), but I'm getting my first Amazon Fresh grocery delivery on Friday. Very excited - probably more than I should be. Also a little concerned that soon there will be absolutely NO REASON to ever leave the house.

So dope

Took Georgie to lunch at Freebirds on Sunday, and while we were in line to check out she grabbed this and started gnawing on it:

The guy behind the counter thought it was so funny he gave it to us for free. So Georgie got her first taste of chocolate. And no, there is no weed in it. (I may have checked twice)

Yippie kay yay indeed

So I watched Die Hard this weekend. FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. Not sure why I had never seen it - it's actually pretty good. Although I do have questions about why Bruce wears a wife beater the entire time. Ah well - I blame the 80s.

Norm!

Listening to Sirius XM 80s this morning, and they played the full theme song from Cheers. I swear I had no IDEA about some of these lyrics!

Making your way in the world today
Takes everything you've got;
Taking a break from all your worries
Sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?

All those night when you've got no lights,
The check is in the mail;
And your little angel
Hung the cat up by it's tail;
And your third fiance didn't show;

Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
You want to be where you can see,
Our troubles are all the same;
You want to be where everybody knows your name.

Roll out of bed, Mr. Coffee's dead;
The morning's looking bright;
And your shrink ran off to Europe,
And didn't even write;
And your husband wants to be a girl;

Be glad there's one place in the world
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
You want to go where people know,
People are all the same;
You want to go where everybody knows your name.

Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came...

Particularly the line about "your husband wants to be a girl" - how very progressive!!!

Tami Taylor can do way better

I binge-watched Dirty John this weekend - oh. my. god. Semi-obsessed. And annoyed at Connie Britton's character! Run, girl. Just run. But also - damn, girl. Just damn.

Side gig

I met with a friend's sister yesterday who has decided to have a baby on her own. And another friend messaged me yesterday asking if she could pass my number to HER friend who is going to do IVF with a sperm donor...maybe I should start some sort of single mom consulting business. It also helps to bring Georgie - the girl was literally ready to call the doctor while we were still sitting there.

Well crap

Freaked out this morning when I had no paycheck in my account - and then realized I had forgotten that the company moved to a pay schedule of the 15th and last day of the month, rather than every two weeks. And then sadly noted that was why my last paycheck was a bit heftier than previous - I didn't get a raise, I am getting fewer checks with bigger dollar amounts.

I realize I sound like a Geico commercial

"I just saved a ton of money on my car insurance!" But it's true! Actually, I saved a ton of money by finally sucking it up and refinancing my car loan - $200 a month in savings! Hawaii here I come.

Contemplating making a run for the border

There is nothing sadder than a sick baby. You just feel so helpless. They look at you like, "why aren't you helping me?? Make it better!!" And the doctor is like "Give it time - she will be better in a few days." Meanwhile each day is an eternity because she fusses all the time, won't sleep, won't eat - ahhhhh parenthood.

Oh, Sloth Girl

I had to fast forward through the sloth segment of The Bachelor - I was just that embarrassed for her. Helllllloooooo Collllllltonnnnnnn...

To be fair, I did enjoy when the sloth climbed the tree.

I should really host some sort of bargain shopper show

We have our company holiday party this weekend, and it's a cruise theme. As the host and party planner, naturally I feel I should wear something yachtie. On the left, the blazer costs $998. The one of the right was $65. Guess which one I bought.

They look freakishly similar, no?? (And yes, I don't care if I look ridiculous. I don't have a date, so who cares.)

What a waste

So apparently they no longer let families with small children board early. At least not on American. I DID get to board in group 5 (was supposed to be group 7), but still. What's the point of having a kid if you can't get on the plane first??

SURVIVED

Made it through Christmas, Georgie's first birthday/birthday party, and a trip to Florida - all in the past week. Needless to say, excited to go back to work today. Should be like a vacation.
